Lillian Li grew up in a very traditional Chinese family in Beijing, China. Her grandfather, a well-known traditional Chinese doctor, passed on her the Chinese philosophy of how to stay healthy and improve mental wellness. She went to a top university in China and got a master degree in Science Po in Paris,  the finest French institution in humanities and social sciences.

Upon graduation, Lillian joined the biggest Chinese media company and worked as a reporter in Egypt. However, she realized that media work was not what she was longing  to. During a meditation retreat in a breathtaking tea garden in remote mountain area, she fell in love with tea. Her passion for tea and for Nature called her to quit her successful journalist career and went to a tea art school.

With certificates of tea art and tea taster, Lillian decided to build up a career based on what she is really passionate about. She travelled to main tea-growing regions in the world, visited well-respected tea experts in China, Japan, India, France, Australia, US etc.. Meanwhile, she keeps on studying Chinese culture and Japanese culture, which are in close relations with tea.

After moving to Canada, Lillian started her own tea business. Her aim is to bring most natural and high quality tea as well as age-old tea tradition to tea lovers in North America.

She believes that, tea is not only for health and inner peace, but also for sharing and caring, and any moment we have tea with others is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, we should enjoy it!
